Meet Niko

Nikolas “Niko” Pilcher is a dedicated criminal defense attorney at Hendrick, Casey & Hutter (HCH) in Oklahoma City, bringing a rare combination of military service, prosecutorial experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep community commitment to every case he handles.

Niko honorably served in the United States Army for eight years, instilling in him the discipline, leadership, and resilience that define his approach to law. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminology (cum laude) from Bradley University in Illinois, followed by his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law.

During law school, Niko gained early courtroom experience as a licensed legal intern with the Jackson County (Illinois) State’s Attorney’s Office and later at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.

Admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2021, Niko co-founded and operated a small-town law firm with his wife for three years, focusing on criminal defense, civil litigation, family law and estate planning. Deeply invested in his community, he served as a city council member and as a volunteer firefighter and first responder.

In 2023, Niko became licensed in Oklahoma and joined the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. There, he managed heavy caseloads in one of the state’s busiest jurisdictions, sharpened his trial advocacy skills, and handled complex felony matters. He concluded his tenure as one of only two specially assigned ADAs prosecuting violent crimes and gang-related offenses.

Niko joined HCH in October 2025, where he immediately became a key asset to the team. His extensive hands-on trial experience, insider knowledge of prosecutorial strategy, and strong professional network enable him to build aggressive, effective defenses for clients facing criminal charges ranging from DUIs, to homicides.
